This book was entertaining enough, but I did not like the way the POV was split up. I liked the conflict involved from just being in the woods, but not the ACTUAL conflict later on.

Genuinely very fuckin mid and predictable, also the characters felt indistinguishable from one another. Exact same voice. Why am I supposedly rooting for these people? I don't know, why do I care?
3.5 ⭐️
it was good! i loved the emotional turmoil between the girls in the first 3rd and it was actually very suspenseful. it felt different knowing the killers and having them be random gross men, but also very fitting bc they exist and are too abundant.
solid thriller for halloween and spooky times!

I'd planned to finish this over the weekend, but life happened. Anyway. It was a 3 star read up until the 60% mark, I'd say. Both characters were annoying me and I was kinda stuck with them just like they were stuck with each other. And then the real suspense began! I didn't expect the gory details from Stephanie Perkins, but it was a welcome surprise. I'm pretty bad at visualizing and I'd forget who was who after every chapter... that's on me though.
The writing is all over the place. You can’t tell which character is speaking
Please Stephanie, for the sake of all your readers and your own reputation, please stop writing horror books.
