super important story. A valuable read and a great addition to Suicide Notes.
However some of that impact was lost for me in how it was told. Strong start, but it dragged on for too long. So many characters and subplots that felt underdeveloped

okay okay i’m writing a full ass lengthy review for the first time ever so let’s go.

first of all, i debated even reading this since the first book came out so long ago, but i bought it on impulse and couldn’t put it down. i did have to refresh myself on suicide notes to remember exactly what jeff went through, and after that i started off reading this book. it picks up right where the last one left off and it ended in a way i didn’t expect. i feel like so much happened in this book but in a good way. all the storylines were pulling you away from each other but somehow all ended up converging into one happy ending?? also the last sentence makes me think MTF might right another book following jeff? def cried a few times with how jeff’s parents, specifically his mom, grew and changed the way she acted and how much growth she had. also jeff in this book reminds me of my own mental health journey and how seeing a therapist as well as just allowing myself to be myself makes things so much easier. i wish i would’ve had this book when i was younger and struggling so much but enjoyed reading it now. def healed some inner child.
