Wow. Just wow. Her victim impact statement at the end was so powerful and moving, it left me speechless.

Brutal, brave, and incredibly powerful, this is a must read for pretty much everybody I can think of.

Chanel tells her story with such courage and beauty, her gorgeous command of language capturing the grief and pain she has suffered during and since that fateful night at Stanford University.

I’ll be very surprised if you don’t find yourself shedding a tear, or if not feeling exceptionally moved by this emotional and incredible piece of work. Everybody go read it, now.

Breaks your heart and puts it back together. The story she tells is hard to hear but necessary. Multiple times I was brought to tears but not just by the subject matter, it was also the beauty of the writing. There were so many small moments of joy that she captured so well. When you are ready, you should read this book.

Finished in bed.

Not going to rate for obvious reasons. Incredibly moving and difficult and beautiful. Read if you can.

Know My Name is an emotional story with a strong voice.

Chanel Miller does a phenomenal job recounting her experience and putting the reader in her shoes without losing perspective of the ground she still had to cover. I never felt like her writing pace dragged or lingered too long on any moment of her story. But she still managed to give every new development enough space to breathe and pull readers in. Miller's writing is compelling. Readers can grasp and understand her confusion, reluctance, and eventual fierce refusal to let this get pushed under the rug.

I cried, I cried a LOT. This memoir will haunt you, not only because it is so raw and emotional, but because you will have to grapple with how unjust the U.S. justice system is and the ignorance and cruelty of certain people throughout Miller's journey.

This is a must-read book and I will be recommending it to everyone I know.
