This story was funnier, and shorter, than I realized it would be. I love that no one in the family ever questions WHY this happened, just laments that it did and goes about the business of trying to ignore it. I feel for Gregor, this removed any doubt I had in my mind that I absolutely do not want to wake up as a bug one day.

gregor didn’t even think about how absurd his situation was while he was dying, he just cared about his family. after gregor’s death, his family was happy to be rid of the burden he was causing them and moved out of the apartment gregor paid for them…

overall this book was so amazing i loved it, but it was so complex i can’t talk about every single theme in this book.
