I enjoyed the relationship dynamic in this book but overall it was just okay to me.
The plots in this series feel heavier than the others (which is crazy all things considered) but I suspect it's because some of the characters are still in those traumatic situations and not on the other side of them. That is very much the case in this book where both Memphis and his little brother are trapped in abusive relationships (to varying extents).
This one has some really tough moments and some really sweet ones but I didn't feel that same compulsive need to read it that I have in the past. That said, this isn't a bad book, it's just not for me.

Memphis ran from his abusive father, but finds out 10 years later his little brother is also being abused. With the help of Preacher he tries to keep his brother safe, but damn Preacher is hot.
4.5⭐️ Loved everything about this book! It was fast-paced, exciting, sweet, and steaming hot.

I loved getting Preacher's book and getting to know more about him! Memphis's backstory had me close to tears and seeing the way Preacher treated him gave me heart eyes. The two of them together was so good! I could have read another 100 pages of them just hanging out and being together.
