2.5/5 stars bc it served the purpose that I wanted it to bc I could read it really fast and I knew exactly where it was going so it helped me get back into reading. However it was way to preachy and like everything worked out way to smoothly/conveniently.

Adorable, smart, and funny, especially if you’ve ever been a teenage girl and/or a restaurant industry worker.

3.5 - this felt a little cyclical, rushed, and unresolved, but it was cute and Kit was v spunky

not a 2 but not fully a 3. really cool/cute premise, especially for someone who was obsessed with medieval times as a kid but the components didn’t quite fall. the romance felt forced. the handling of addiction felt sloppy. i’d much rather heard more from and about the bad ass gang of women and non-binary knights in training than the super minute details of the day to day or random sporadic plot lines that didn’t feel fully fleshed out.

that being said, i did finish it in a day so maybe worth a read
