This book was very mid for me. I want to like her books but the 2 I've read have felt subpar.  I can't seem to care about the characters. Just when I was starting to really like the scarred prince the book was over. Feels unfinished.

I loved the book. I couldn’t stop reading it. I hated how long it took Sara and Tristan to get together. There were some pretty big twists and turns. Definitely a great book!

Book 2 of Never After series was based on The Lion King, and I was intrigued how the story was gonna be adapted into a smutty fractured real world fairytale. I think I liked this one a little more than Hooked, for the royal forbidden love and enemies to lovers aspect. I bloody love an enemies to lovers. Also the slow burn, oh my lordy, that slow burn! I was like PLEASE, GIVE IT TO ME!
I really liked Sara, she was badass and headstrong. Tristan was, oh boy, he was haaaawt. There was certain things that I did not like, certain threats that were made, I don't think that was necessary to show he is a morally grey character. Ultimately though, I liked both lead characters and their arcs. The smut was definitely smutting, oh lordy. I do wish we got more about Timothy and Paul though, I loved them so much. Storywise, I enjoyed it, it kept me intrigued to know how it will all play out.
This probably would of been 5 stars, but two things made me knock it down. The first thing, the branding. No. Just no. The second thing, why did the flow of the story feel out of whack? Like I sometimes had to go back to see if I missed a page or my copy has missed pages. It felt like bits were skipped or rushed to quickly finish. On a side note, as the last book, it did get a little repetitive at points. Overall though, I did enjoy this one!
And now, onto the next one...
