2.5 It did a good job of retelling hal’s and explaining some important aspects of the Green Lantern Corps but the first three issues felt very rushed, and Hal was a jerk

This is an OK origin story that is done in much, much better fashion in Secret Origin by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis. If you're looking for a Green Lantern origin story, definitely choose that one.

I decided to start reading DC comics and to start with Green Lantern / Mostly Hal Jordan. Honestly I really enjoyed this book. It's kind of a quick explanation of how Hal Jordan became Green Lantern. Lots of humor. A lot of people don't like how many flaws Hal has in this book but he's supposed to be kind of a dirtbag so...

I liked that Hal is more human, with flaws.

This was such a bad book. The story arc was terrible. Hal Jordan is really not the best Green Lantern anyway, and this book didn't add anything positive to his reputation. Bad pacing, no depth, and no real story.
