Wow. Sometimes all I can start with is Wow.
Laura Kaye has a pulse on the wounded soldier, as first evidenced by her Hard Ink Series and now with WFC. A deep, passionate understanding for not only our veterans, but also still currently active military, that bleeds off the pages is what makes her writing rise above.
Everything Laura Kaye writes is magic.
Noah Cortez is a broken man. Physically and mentally.
He's returned from active duty a shell of his former self, partially blind, deaf, and with a brain injury to round out his winning list of traits. Why is that in the winning list? He's so full of resentment, guilt, anger, bitterness, self-loathing, the list goes on so long that Noah can't see past his deep depression to even begin digging out of his hole.
Unfortunately for him, the one bright spot in his life happens to be his best friend, Kristina Moore, and she is the one person who seems to be the salve to his wrecked body. The girl he's known for twenty years and happily friend zoned. He can't cross that zone. He shouldn't cross that zone. He wants to cross that zone. He knows crossing that zone will wreck them both. He's not good enough for her, he needs to keep her at arms length, but it's so hard to fight when he's so tired of fighting.

Kristina Moore has known Noah almost her entire life. He's been there for every major event in her life and knew all about the troubles with her own family's mental illness. When she saw Noah for the first time upon his return home, she can tell he's still not 100%, but she had no idea the reaction she'd experience once Noah held her close. No longer were his touches friendly. Gone was the boy she knew and replaced with a hard chiseled body of a man. A man who touched her like a woman and Kristina suddenly found herself lusting after her friend in not so friendly ways.

Noah and Kristina have a devastating path to climb before they can reach a HEA. Kristina wants to fix Noah. Noah doesn't believe he can be fixed. Yes, you would think it's the typical cycle, but not in a case where someone is suffering like Noah is suffering. This story is truly heartbreaking on both sides to read knowing they are both fighting for what their version of right is. Sometimes you have to walk away and lose it all before you can get back up and fight for everything.
This is the first book in the WFC series and after meeting some of the other characters, this series is going to be AMAZING!!!

This story grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let go. I cheered for Noah, a struggling vet, returning home after being hit by an IED. I found myself celebrating his successes and crying over his missteps.
Noah is struggling with life. He has a TBI (traumatic brain injury), hearing loss and vision impairment. It isn't just the physical struggles, but the emotional struggles that are wearing Noah down, close to hitting bottom. He needs help before it is too late, before he looses everything and destroys his relationship with Kristina.
Kristina has been his best friend for 20 years. She knows that Noah is struggling but is at a loss to rescue her best friend. That won't stop her from trying or from loving him.

Laura Kaye has hit a home run with her new Warrior Fight Club series!
Creating a realistic world where characters suffer from real things, such as PTSD, finding a way to find to love again. Noah is a complex character working through his issues after being honorably discharged from the military and the injuries he suffered, and Kristina is the light that leads Noah back to his life, along with the friends he meets in Warrior Fight Club.
The story doesn't skimp on the romance and steam as Noah and Kristina realize that they're more than friends and the scenes sizzle when the finally give in to their desires for one another.
5 stars and can't wait for the next in the series!!!

Sweet, sexy, poignant best friends-to-lovers romance. Noah and Kristina's romance is beautifully written and so true to real life. I think LK is one of the best military-themed contemporary romance writers (her Hard Ink series is one of my favorites) and once again she delivers sexy, sweet, humor, tears, hope, healing, and fantastic characters in Fighting for Everything. Looking forward to more in the series!

I can’t even beginning to count the time my heart felt for both Noah and Kristina in Fighting for Everything.
Noah is suffering from a traumatic brain injury and PTSD. Noah’s a wonderful man who feels he’s too messed up for anything. Kristina is what I call a true and one of a kind friend. Her heart is bigger than the sky above.
Friends to lover are some of my favorite romance stories. Noah and Kristina are everything I love of these kinds of stories. Great personalities, a deep and solid friendship and a willing to go the extra mile for a friend.
Grab your tissues ladies because Fighting for Everything has all the feels. Rich with emotions that made me feel the story deep. Ms. Kaye’s descriptions of anxiety and panic were so spot on that her words sent chills down my spine. Fighting for Everything is a fantastic and emotional beginning to what I am sure will continue to be a fabulous series.

Wow! I started reading this book and put it down a couple of times and once I really got into this book I figured out why. This book ripped me apart and put me back together in the best way. I kept putting it down because I wasn't in a place where I could read this book. Laura Kaye wove a story that truly showed how much a wounded warrior can struggle trying to adjust to civilian life. Noah was on a downward spiral and only his best friend Kristina can help him want to come back from that spiral. Their love story had me wanting to scream at Noah that he was worthy of love. Kristina put up with a lot from Noah, but at the same time they became closer as a result. I really can't say how much I loved this book. The Warrior Fight Club is going to be a fantastic series and I'm eagerly anticipating the next book in this series.

So I got the audio at a discount because I own the book and I'm so glad I did.
Andi absolutely nailed the audio, letting the emotions—both good and bad—bleed into my ears.
Having not read Laura's work before, the premise of the story intrigued me and I went in blind; not having read any reviews.
And what a way to be delighted.
While I didn't appreciate the switches in Noah's behaviour, especially when it came to how he treated Kris, I can understand why he was the way he was.
I appreciated the fact that he took his time to work on himself, to be a better version of himself—not just for himself but also for Kris.
It was an emotional journey for him to find a semblance of the man he once was, with a beautiful end to their story.

Best friends to lovers love it! Only Noah is troubled, very troubled and is alternately pushing Kristina away and holding onto her like a lifeline. I love that Kristina was such a strong heroine. She fought for their relationship, and Noah and herself individually.
This is the first of Laura's Fight Club series, focusing on Wounded Veterans. I'm a vet myself and I'm honored with how she handled the mental and physical injuries.
I'll definitely be waiting with anticipation on the next one!

Fighting for Everything is book one in the Warrior Fight Club by Laura Kaye.
Wow! I’m impressed. I’m never sure if I’m going to like a contemporary romance or not. They are hit or miss for me, but Fighting for Everything really struck a cord. It’s a friends to lovers romance.
The author did a fabulous job with her characters, their struggles, and the friends to lovers romance.
Noah’s got TBI and PTSD. The realism of coming home from war, how hard it can be, the struggles and things that can seam so mundane, but now can cause an issue was heartbreaking. The author did her research and accuracy portrayed what a wounded solder faces when they come home. It was powerful.
Kristen is Noah’s best friend. She stands by him even when he’s pushing her away, well pushing everyone away. She truly sees more then he wants and she does what she can to help him. Their was no pushing him to do something just giving him the tools and little moments he needs to get back on track.
Noah and Kristen have some major sexual tension that is off the charts and when they do give in it’s explosive. Their romance was bumpy. I cried when he didn’t want to fight for more and it looked like their 20-year friendship was over; especially when she gave him everything and tried to fight. The only thing that truly bothered me and made me drop a half point in my rating is them having sex without a condom. I understand she’s on birth control, been tested, and they talk, but we all know that birth control is not 100%, so I got a little bummed in the no sex without condom. The story was going fabulously until that moment, but as I said the sex is explosive, but I prefer safe sex.
The introduction to the Warrior Fight Club was wonderful done. I liked how that was weaved into the story. I also liked how we get into the characters heads and feel what they are feeling. As I said the author did her homework and made this one feel so real. I applaud Ms. Kaye. And, last the secondary characters introduced where great.
Fighting for Everything is profoundly emotional, deep and so real. I had a phenomenal time reading this novel and can’t wait to pick up the next one in the series.
