This book by Melinda Barron is a quick, enjoyable, totally fairy tale read. Kennedy is an aspiring writer who becomes friends with Grace (Graceful Submission) & through that relationship meets Cedric. I really enjoyed catching up with Toffer & Grace again & while I enjoyed this story I would have liked more emotion that wasn't directly related to sex. It is quite short so perhaps if it were longer I would have found that.

Aspiring writer Kennedy Thompson is delighted when one of her favorite writers, Grace Shelley, takes an interest in her work. This turns personal for her when Grace introduces her to Cedric Davenport, a celebrity actor and friend of her and her husband. Cedric wants Kennedy, but she isn't ready for a relationship, until he uses a week of costume parties to introduce her to fictional lovers who mimic their story.

Parts of this novel really worked. I liked the characters, and their relationship was interesting. However, this is one case where shorter would have worked better, as five days of costumed characters seemed a bit much. Plus, I didn't feel the chemistry between the characters in the same way I did for MCs in other of this author's books.

Cute short story. Had a few issues with it, but overall it was enjoyable.
