This is supposed to be an intro to kink, but Scarlet and Lukas have kinda annoying vanilla sex where Lukas is just in control of what they are doing. It reads like any other spicy scene, but Scarlet insists on calling them "perverts" for what they get up to.
The "plot" is barely existent/super anemic.

Lukas and Scarlett are my OTP
The writing in this book feels like the writer has really hit their stride. All the quirks of her style really worked for me in this book in a way they haven’t in others.

This is probably my least favorite Ali Hazelwood book.
Probably can't give a review without SPOILERS!!. So this one has a weird tone to it. First off, it starts with our main character working through a traumatic event (which is a good part, yay for being pro therapy and working through things). The male main character is shoved at the FMC by his ex-girlfriend. Then, the ex is basically haunting every interaction from there forward or present. There is even a Single White Female reference to the dynamic.
Also, it felt too fake of a resolution at the end. Not Ali Hazelwood's typical tone of her books. My favorite so far is probably Love on the Brain
