That was lovely.

Bear Company is a very short collection of four graphic novel vignettes (most are not quite stories, but rather glimpses, though no less effective for the brevity), and as a lover of short fiction I jumped on the kickstarter as soon as I heard about it. It's almost a comic chapbook, and it hit all sort of nostalgic vibes for me on that level alone.

Blue Delliquanti packed a tonne of world-building into an SF tale, Nero O'Reilly's piece was a dash of warmth (no pun intended) of how we find each other, then Pat Myers's simple story of opening arms was tone perfect. And finally, Ryan Estrada and Dorian Cliffe brought it home with a story that left me all sniffly and content. It's a great little collection.

Sweet, but short! I hope that the success of the Kickstarter might lead to future anthologies.
