I thought it was a great story! It was very sad near the end but ended up even better than i thought and I’m glad it didn’t end how i thought it was going too.

THAT BOOK WAS SO GOOD BUT SO INTENSE??? I LOVED IT SM! it feels weird knowing that aled went through all of this. but i am glad that even altough he splitted up with the paris gang from heartstopper he still has good friends
this also was such an easy read?? even if at some times it was very painful to read and heart wrenching. i love all of the characters so much!!

Edit 18/1/20: This review is hilarious, ooh my god why did I compare everything to the catcher in the rye. I wrote this in a time in my life when I was like, sure I'm trans and queer but it doesn’t “define” me. Like fuck off. Now I’m like fuck yeah I’m trans and queer come at me! But I do still love Radio Silence so much, its an amazing novel and will always have a special place in my heart. Also idk why at the end of my review I talk about wanting the book to be more profound because I think the book is really profound and has a lot to say about social expectations and being a teen and that’s why I love it.

I was not expecting to like this book this much! I thought is was going to be an average YA love story or something, but holy shit it was not. Just gotta say I love male and female friendships bc in every (I guess mostly) bloody story they have to fall in love!! and that's not how life works!! friendship doesn't give a shit about gender!! also everyone is not straight!!

And also it's queer representation was excellent, as a queer person myself i wish way more books represented how diverse people's sexualities are. I also love how normalised different sexualities were and how sexuality doesn't define you!! sometimes I feel people forget that, like sure it can sometimes influence yourself in ways (sadly most of time it can be negative experiences). But for the most part if someone asked me to describe myself I probably wouldn't say queer or trans (even tho I'm both those things) bc I'm more then just a sexuality or a gender. And my gender doesn't define me but apparently society thinks it does??? anyway that's off topic.

I also loved how it really represented contemporary teenagers, you know they use social media, the internet, and even can have a following on the internet! Also how complex teenagers are, and that reminds of the catcher in the rye (but then again what  doesn't remind the catcher  in the rye tbh).

Also it's about applying for uni and how going to uni isn't for everyone , even for "smart" people. and how teenagers put some much pressure on themselves (I was that person, dude my last year of high school was probably one of the worst years overall for my mental health ). Again like the catcher in the rye, I related so much to the characters struggles and what they were going through.

I have talked so highly about this book and yet I did give it a 4/5 instead of 5/5. And there is nothing wrong with this book. I just think it's not as profound as I would have liked ??? It's good but it's not the catcher in the rye, ya know. I feel like the prose of the writing was pretty average , if I had to give a complaint I guess. The starting of the book also okay but kind of convenient. The ending (I mean like the last paragraph) was okay but idk not as profound as I wanted it to be I guess.

I really was not expecting the book to be this good. I highly recommend it.
