Iā€™m not sure what to say. I just finished this and all I could think about was this is way more dramatic than it needs to be. Despite of the drama, somehow I did not feel the chemistry between the main characters. I know LK can write better love stories than this.

This, alongside the Wallflowers prequel Again the Magic, is my favorite installment in the series. Marcus and Lillian are everything you want to see in an enemies to lovers, opposites attract historical romance.  Definitely my favorite couple in the series. The angst, the tension... I utterly devoured this.

my personal Wallflowers ranking:
1. It Happened One Autumn & Again the Magic (tied for first)
2. Secrets of a Summer Night
3. Scandal in Spring
4. Devil in Winter
5. A Wallflower Christmas

The second book is better than the first. I loved Lillian, she is so fun and headstrong in a very real feeling way. The ending was quite dramatic and I liked it.
I could have done without the epilogue.
