#1 : Secrets of a Summer Night (Wallflowers, #1) : 3 Stars
There is something about opposites attracts romances that makes the story more engaging and addictive to me. And with this book, that dynamic worked really well from the banter to the passionate push and pull between the main characters to their unbelievable chemistry that just dominates every scene they share together. It was all written well and I enjoyed the dynamic and how it evolved.
I still find some of those characters' actions questionable at times and unacceptable at others and I think Lisa Kleypas struggles with writing genuine female characters. Sometimes I feel like they're exaggerated a little bit and It kind of distances me from them.
When it comes to her male characters, They seem familiar to me because they feel like many others in the genre. It feels comforting but also repetitive.
Anyway, This was more fun and enjoyable than the first one. I don't know if I'm going to continue with the series. I'm just not that interested in what could happen next with the other characters.
