This was amazing. SO MANY EMOTIONS right from the beginning. You're up, your down, you're gut is sinking into itself, you're ready to smash a bitch with a coffee pot. It's so juicy, like an episode of SVU and I just felt everything Marin felt. A++

I thought this was a book about a missing child, but it’s a book about a rich woman hating her husband’s younger “mistress.” Why do we never blame the MARRIED MAN? I hated it. And it’s not what I expected.

Marin has a dream life...she is a successful celebrity hairstylist, her husband runs his own company and they have a young son. It all comes crumbling down when their son Sebastian is abducted just before Christmas at the Public Market in Seattle.

Like many thrillers, this was a roller coaster ride with many twists and turns. For me, it was an enjoyable ride. I had taken a year or so off from reading so this was a good welcome back into the world of thrillers...a perfect little morsel and just what I needed.

Most of the book picks up well after Sebastian is abducted. Marin is barely holding it together. She's done acts of self-harm. We find Marin and Derek's marriage treading water. The police have given up on her case so Marin's hired a private investigator. The PI comes to Marin with a piece of info that leads Marin down a new path.

I recommend this one to fans of psychological thrillers.

I received a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
