A fundamental work in absurdist sci-fi. The humor is ridiculous and deadpan. 

It is a wild romp, doesn't really care for sequential events and is largely concerned with setting up it's various jokes (both short and long). Very smart/witty, but not a whole lotta depth. 

Arthur is by far the best. Fenchurch is also quite stellar. I'm a little disappointed there wasn't more closure or resolution for them.

A book worth re-reading at some point in the future.

I've heard about this book for most of my adult life, but the title always seemed off-putting. I was very wrong. So many jokes from pop culture I never knew originated from this story. Excited for the rest of the series.
