Even though there are things I didn't like (including the ending), I cannot stop thinking about this book.

It's not 3 stars but also not 4... like a 3.7.
Well written and could not put the book down! I'm not a fan of love triangles cause I usually always hate the choice the author makes but it's very realistic. Please research trigger warnings for the book.

This book started off very slow for me. It took me forever to get through a third of the book. It wasn’t until Aiden came on the scene that the story started to pique my interest. At the time, Everett was just too much of a selfish hot mess for me.
I pretty much never read love triangle romance and this book is a perfect example of why I avoid them. The story felt like a girl who wanted her cake and to eat it too. She spent the entire book pining after both men. Ultimately, I hate the fact that all of this culminated into everyone getting hurt. No matter who she ends up with there doesn’t seem to be any winners in the end.
As for the men, they were too consumed with Stevie. They seemed unable to function in their lives without her. They were both too dependent on her.
Ultimately the ping ponging back and forth from one guy to the other was too much for my fragile heart.
I was team Aiden. When it came to Everett I am fearful that he puts all of his eggs into her basket. That if she leaves him that he will relapse into his self destructive bad behaviors…too much pressure on her.
Overall it was a good story

“You’re beautiful, but when you smile, you’re a portrait of starlit dreams.”
There is so much I want to say about this book but so few words I can use to describe it. Until this one, none of Ella Field’s latest books got to me like Suddenly Forbidden (though I loved each and every single one of them). Now, Serenading Heartbreak just slayed me. I couldn’t stop reading and feeling even as I tried to.
“In a world filled with thorns and poisonous flowers, somehow, I was lucky enough to find you. My clover.”
Every love triangle is heart-breaking somehow. But this one is singing to your heart. It’s beautifully and thoughtful written with characters that capture your heart in a beat. I could feel and almost see the love Stevie has for both of her men. And I broke a little more every time her heart was breaking.
But to make her love for Aiden a little more believable, I wished for both a little more quality time. That I got to see more, why Stevie fell for this beautiful and caring soul and especially why Aiden fell for Stevie.
"Like the sun and the moon, we’d always revolve around one another, doomed to dance on opposing sides of fate."
Stevie is a girl I could easily relate to, falling for the bad boy at an early age could totally be me. Losing her heart to two guys that obviously love her so much that they are prepared to fight for her until the last breath.
Aiden is a beautiful and caring boy. But I wished I could have seen more of his edges. Besides his loss I was almost too flawless.
Everett is the typical troubled bad boy with a knack for music and having a tendency to destroy himself, dragging the ones he loves with him without even realising it.
"We were never supposed to make something out of moments. We were always meant to build something out of lifetimes."
Serenading Heartbreak is a powerful and emotional story with the capability to destroy you.

Heartbroken
My cold dead heart has been awakened! I haven’t cried over a book in forever, and I sobbed during this one. Everyone needs this book in their life!

Serenading Heartbreak was a hard and frustrating read. The blurb says pretty much everything and we know 95% of the time, either in books or movies, the h always ends up with whoever she met first as potential OTP. I went into it expecting a good heart-wrenching and beautiful love story but I didn't think I ended up liking the characters, so I just skim through the book mostly to really enjoy it. In terms of characters, Aiden is probably the only character I can consistently root for. The others, especially Stevie and Everett are just consistently frustrating.
Ella, Ella, Ella. I would have liked to think we are friends (though we've never met) but then you do this to me...
Serenading Heartbreak is a brutal, angst filled Mack truck of emotions barreling down the freeway at a helpless and very stuck reader while they pray it will go around them...Except Ella is driving said truck with no brakes at full speed and shows zero remorse as she grins a twisted smile in our direction. The sheer malicious joy in her eyes should have been a warning...BUT NO, this hopeless romantic was like "no Ella would never!" WRONG. Ella did. ELLA WAS HAPPY TO RUN YOU OVER WITH THAT BIG @SS TRUCK! SHE WAS GIGGLING IN GLEE WHILE YOU LAY BLEEDING OUT CLUTCHING FOR SOMETHING, ANYTHING....CLINGING TO HOPE!!!!
It's safe to say that Ella Fields is NOT my friend.

Only Ella can make me simultaneously want to throw my e-reader at the wall and hug it at the same time. Her words slay me, every time.
This story was devastatingly beautiful.
A real page turner.
Maddening, Gut wrenching, heartbreaking and sweet. Angsty as all hell and beautifully finished.
Another masterpiece from an amazing author.
