Omg why did everyone read this when they were a kid? I read this when I was about twelve, as so did everyone else on this site. I loved Nicole Dollanganger's music when I was that age and I wanted to read the stories that she based her songs off of... my parents should have been monitoring what I was reading AND listening to! I mean, it's nothing extremely gruesome or pornographic, but I really did not grasp a lot of the concepts here because--well, I was twelve. I really do not remember much of this book... I remember what everyone else remembers.

was shocked to go into the reviews and see so many people excusing rape and incest ?? go get every kind of evaluation there is and stay far away from public spaces you fucking WEIRDOS.
i literally only gave this two stars because it managed to keep my attention even though the actual contents were sick as all hell. the entire situation was so upsetting and the things they had to do ?? although toward the end i felt close to no remorse for chris he was actually sick in the head and i truly wouldn’t have blinked twice if he decided to jump off the attic roof or anything similar.
