I enjoyedthe ish overall, though the Justice League Dark story was much more interesting than the main story. I find "evil JLA" stories to be beyond tedious at this point. The art is pretty poor throughout, but rushed and sloppy work seems to have become the industry standard in these dystopian latter days of Comics...

Pretty okay. I like the line up for the Justice League (as much as I'm sure some dudebros are pissed in their moms' basements). I wish we got more character work for Jon. In this and the Superman comic, I feel like he doesn't really have any personality traits. Not sure if that's because he works best paired with someone that's more his opposite (Damian for example). However, I love Flor. I've never seen Jo/Green Lantern before (GL comics are not really my jam), but she's interesting here and I like her vibe. The new Flash and Aquawoman seem interesting and the mystery of the new Batman caught my attention in his solo comic.

Curious to see where it goes from here. Kinda bummed the JL appears to be so small and wants to remain that way.

I think that this deserves a strong 3.5 stars. Justice League is one of my favorite team ups so I was extremely excited to see what they planned on doing with them in Future State. The team is definitely different but I’m enjoying the new faces. While I understand why they’re making the decision to keep the team small, I’m hoping that they actually forego that decision. They still need more time to get their chemistry right before they add more people but I want it to be a possibility. I had no idea where the story was going in terms of the villain but it’ll be fun to see how it’s all wrapped up. The artwork was absolutely beautiful and the nods to the old justice league team were great. Overall, I thought that it was a good start. I did also read the Justice League Dark story that was included in this and I wasn’t super impressed. I was familiar with the characters but the story didn’t work for me as much as I wanted it to. I actually was just a tad bored. Hopefully, the story improves in the next issue.
