Yikes! This was quite daunting. I CAN read challenging books and often enjoy them (for example, I love Fydor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment), but I could only get through a couple of pages. I think I'm going to try a modern adaptation.

Required reading for Katabasis, book one. I'm not really here to judge this book, but I will say it seems like our boy Dante just wanted to write fanfiction about all his enemies being in hell. 

There are some true banger lines though!

This made me entirely fearful of Hell and contemplate Christianity far more than any Sunday school class I've ever been to. Dante is incredible. I only wish I wasn't suffering through the Divine Comedy in school.
