Disgusting. If I read it again (which I'm not planning on), I would look for a translation that doesn't follow rhyme or meter. My translation tried to preserve meter, and I think clarity suffered as a result.

As with older work, I found Inferno super dense but equally enjoyable. It was a lot funnier than I expected and had moments where I actually laughed out loud and the oddness of the book. In saying that, there were also a few more disturbing scenes, but overall, I really did enjoy this. If you're willing to invest a little more time to get through the verse and really absorb what you're reading, you might too!

I appreciate it for what it was, I enjoyed the poetry a lot more than I expected especially towards the end. but I did not have a fun time Dante.
