What an interesting premise, scythes. I really liked the beginning of this book because of it, but the middle got a bit repetitive in my opinion. None of it hit quite the punch I was expecting, but I enjoyed it enough (especially how Rowan ended up) to want to see how the second book plays out.

This book grabbed my attention right away. The action was immediate and didn't slow. My only hangup was at the end, it seemed wrapped up a little too tightly, too quickly, but that won't stop me from grabbing the sequel.
a neat perspective and twisty ending. but plot feels too slow and citra + rowan relationship was not built up well.
This book was a difficult read for me. It is not my usual genre, so I battled back and forth about even finishing it. Interesting concept and now that I am used to the concept, I'd like to know how the series ends.
Honestly a very fun read. I read it mostly while commuting and it kept me re entertained most of the time.
It is a really interesting story that definitely leaves you thinking about all the possibilities in this world.
Definitely would have liked to get more in the head of the characters, since I never really got to feel connected to them.

I liked it, the references, the concept, the twists, but it just wasn't anything special.
4,5☆ poza tym, że niektóre rzeczy nie były do końca wytłumaczone i musiałam się domyślać, to to jest pierwsza książka od dawna, która mnie wciągnęła. końcówka- wow i nie mogę się doczekać czytania następnych czesci!!
