What a time to read this book! A dark prediction of a world that could exist in the not so distant future as the gap between the rich and the poor widens, resources get more scarce, and climate change gets more out of control.

Will definitely venture to read the book! Not too much a fan of the art style. I like the usage of lined paper to show her journal entries. It's kinda scary and weird to read a future book set in the dates we're currently living in- and some of this happened, even if not exactly!!! *All the fires in CA*

The Parable of the sower has become even more prophetic as time has moved on. Our world is more like Butler's world than ever before, and if we don't act now to make the changes we need to, we can all look forward to a world that is nothing but rape, torture, and endless enslavement to the rich.

Have read the original book several times and it's a favorite. This adaptation is very good, and I will probably also read this many times. The art itself evokes a lot of emotion, especially appreciate the way hyperempathy is drawn. I deeply love the prominence of the earthseed verses, almost a shortcut to that information that's not so easily/quickly found when reading the original book.

My stomach was in knots reading this book. Its scary how much society today is on the verge of something like this.

I feel like this is what the world is going to look like in a few years. Read only if you want to get depressed as heck.

Very dark and violent, a graphic novel adaptation of a Octavia Butler classic. It's heavy in philosophy of God and belief systems and religion in an internally violent submission post apocalyptic living hell on earth.

Brutal truth book about a not so dystopian future.
