I was really disappointed by this book since I really enjoyed the first one in the series. But both Tyler and Grace were so frustrating that I just lost my desire to care about either of them and with that I couldn't finish the book. Doesn't mean I won't read other Hannah Cowan books, I just won't rush to do so.
Iโve read three books with the brother's best friend trope pretty much within one week. Iโm tired of it. All 3 of these books are starting to morph into one. Itโs my fault, but god, I was dazed while reading this book.

Gracie Hutton has had a crush on Tyler Bateman ever since her brother brought him home for family dinner. Her crush was obvious to everyone, including Tyler, but her brother made it clear he didn't want any of his friends dating her. Everything was fine until Gracie grew up and made it known she still wanted Tyler. After some steamy nights together in Mexico, Gracie gets under Tyler's skin and he can't stay away from her.
I was excited to read Gracie and Tyler's story after getting glimpses of them in Lucky Hit and Between Periods. Their story was cute and tugged at my heartstrings a bit. Gracie is sassy, fun, and not afraid to say what she wants whereas Tyler is grumpy, possessive, and holds a lot in. Tyler has been through the ringer with his family and it broke my heart. I loved that Gracie wanted to be his protector and supporter through everything. She knew they were meant to be and waited for Tyler to catch on. I loved how possessive Tyler was of Gracie, but not in a creepy or toxic way. She was his and he was hers. Simple as that.
As much as I liked this story, it was a bit chaotic and all over the place. I was a little confused in the beginning and some of the scenes ended abruptly. I also struggled with Gracie and Tyler's relationship. There were cute moments, but I didn't feel the strongest connection. I felt it more in the novella, Between Periods, which takes place in between Lucky Hit and this book. I think BP was written after this book, which might explain why their connection had more to it.
