Def my least fave of the trilogy, the relationship felt forced and I am not one for prolonged pinning especially if it started when they were a minor (also to clarify the story happens when they are both adults and there is not a big age gap)

This relationship was beyond toxic. I'm actually surprised they ended up together. I'm still not convinced the MMC actually likes her, or that they'll actually stay together. He treated her horribly over and over and refused to open up to her about things right up until the very end, and she just kept standing by him and letting him back in. They skipped all many important discussions to have sex instead because that's all their relationship was based on.

So many reviews said she's a strong character but she's NOT. She's feisty and unafraid to speak her mind, and that was AWESOME, but she was not a strong character.

The MMC was also spineless and couldn't face anything, including the brother when he found out he was sleeping with his little sister. He just like shut down and avoided him. He never faced anything at all I'm the story that the FMC didn't force him to. And there were some times she stuck her nose into his business without fully understanding the situation, one of which lead to her forcing him to go to a family dinner with the family that abused him and was the source of his trauma.

Honestly it felt like he stayed in a relationship with her because she was the only one persistent enough to not let him go after all the horrible he said and did to her. She spent years pining after him and I just don't see why.

Gracie deserved better.
