Was gonna give it a 1 star anyway, but I hurried up and did it faster at the 30 % mark when the heroine called another woman a "bitch" for kissing her abusive husband who's been brutalizing her since the last book...
I don't know why authors think I want heroines to be jealous...
I DONT.
This girl is already annoying and pathetic, making her act jealous over a man who's not even treating her like a human.... makes her even more pathetic.
This heroine is awful and weak...
I don't know why the dynamic between the fmc and Elena needed to be so hostile and male centered.
Two women fighting over men/about men is distasteful.
There are better things to fight about...

I got so angry at the constant non communication between the FMC & MMC through these 2 books. The story is decent, but the constant assumptions & just not talking to each other was frustrating.

Spoilers:
I enjoyed this duet. The FMC is TSTL at times, but the mafia action and the progression of the romance kept me turning the pages even when the FMC did stupid things.
At times, I wasn't sure how the romance was going to end in a happily ever after that would make sense due to the harshness of the MMC at times and the FMC's constant lies/betrayals. Especially when she ran away and proceeded to not even attempt to hide/get away. It just made zero sense. At that point, she knew there would be great consequences to her actions, but she still ran away with no plan. Once free, she literally just waited for the MMC to find her. Why even risk the consequences if she wasn't going to try to get away? Her actions got six men killed for what? Because she was irrationally jealous and throwing a tantrum? I was going to bring this book down to 2 or 3 stars because of this (since it's so incredibly stupid), however, I only deducted one star for it due to the consistency of the FMC's asinine behavior making it believable she would do such a stupid thing.
This book was unbelievable most of the time, but it was entertaining. It kept me engaged and wanting to know what happened next.

Personally, not my cup of tea. Male was toxic “not in sexy way” and was cringe. The beginning of book was great but the more I read the less interested I became. Was so upset it left with too many unanswered questions. Also, preggo trope.

After the brutal cliffhanger we were left in Cruel Beast, finally we have the happy ever after Alicia and Enzo rightfully deserves. Was it easy for Enzo to get over his anger for his wife’s supposed betrayal? Or was he quick to stop blaming Alicia for getting his grandfather murdered? And was he able to dispose of his feelings he has developed for Alicia and forget about her? Well, you have to read to find out! I can only say that theirs was an emotional and rocky journey but it was completely worth it at the end…
