Jamie Beck is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I reveled in the story of Cat and Hank and I especially enjoyed how the author hinted at this one early in the previous book. This love story was everything to be hoped for - Cat is independent but wanted to someone to rely on and Hank, the caretaker of his family, needed someone to take care of him. Loved, loved, loved this book. Loved the couple and their journey to one another.

Worth the Trouble is about David's sister, Cat, and their friend Hank. It is also a dual POV, which I just love reading/listening from.

From the first book, Worth the Wait you sort of knew about something that happened between Cat and Hank but you didn't really know their reaction from how everything went down between them..

Cat and Hank shared a night with sweet kisses. However, the next day Cat chose another man. A horrible man. Thank god she found reason one day, after seeing her best friend Vivi get hurt from her crazy psychotic ex. However, she definitely has to deal with the consequence whenever she sees Hank. WHICH IS ALL OF THE TIME APPARENTLY.

Now we all know that they both have feelings for one another because we are reading from both of their POVs - however, it takes them forever (seriously it was a snails pace) for them to finally man up and say what they felt out loud.

When they finally did that.. well, I was in love with them being in love. I loved them so freaking much that I screamed, shouted, jumped in the air, and was overall super ecstatic about them being together. Five hundred cheers for those two.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I loved how they took things SUPER slow and everything ended.

I need the third book because it's about JACKSON.

This book was more difficult for me to get into than the first one because my life is nothing like Cat's. I do understand her need to keep people at arm's length, but the easy way she's able to manipulate things to do her wealth and status are something that is foreign to me. Thankfully Cat doesn't do these things maliciously. She does have a good heart, and so watching her fall in love with someone that has neither wealth or status was a pretty engaging read. This book didn't make me catch my breath or wonder if they really would work things out, but it was well written and kept me invested. 3 out of 5 stars.

Cat St. James know its time to slow down at the ripe old age of 28 she knows that her career is about to come to an end. When she receives some news she knows she needs to hide it from those close to her but she also knows its time to come to terms with her life and her career. But will she be able to protect her heart and her career at the same time when she comes up with a plan to go into business with her brothers best friend or will she loose it all?
Hank has spent his whole adult life taking care of everyone else and he just can't wait for the day he can follow his dreams. After a hard time taking care of his sick mom and dealing with his best friend flushing his life down the drain he starts to wonder whats going to happen when he is offered a chance of a life time he doesn't think the time is right and wonders if its wise to take the step to making his dreams come true. He also has fallen for Cat but he also know she doesn't want him and he wants to get to the bottom of it. Will he be able to protect his family and Cat and still get his dream off the ground or will it all come crashing down around him?

I really enjoyed this book it draws you in and keeps you hooked. Cat seems to have issues with expressing her feelings and turns into herself a lot mean while Hank wears his heart on his sleeve and the two seem to be battling it out and hit heads. The book shows that Love can't handle everything but neither can money. The book does an amazing job telling a fun of a love story but keeping you on the edge of your seat with a small amount of suspense all while trying to figure out whats going to happen next. The book is well worth the read.

Disclosure: I received this book free of charge from the publisher, but this review consists of my honest opinions, not influenced in any way by the author or publisher

Always hoping for a great romance novel. Although I got frustrated with Cats character on how she wanted Hanks attention but was very subtle and obvious about it at the same time. She also blamed her illness for not wanting to be in a relationship. We all have issues, but if you’re in love with someone, you shouldn’t push people aside that you want to be with. Overall, cute book.

**This may have some SPOILERS**

Okay, so.... I'm giving this book 3 stars strictly because it was the exact same set up as 'Worth the Wait' except the people, jobs, life, family, situations were different. I completely guessed the ending once I figured this out. It was a bummer because even though I didn't really care to read about Cat's life, I was excited that Hank was involved.

Still secretly wishing for a book about Vivi and David's married life.

***A little language and some sexual scenes.

This was a solid 4 star book for me until 90% where I dropped a star because this view point is not it for me.

“I’d already be a dad if Alison hadn’t aborted our child. But she didn’t love me. She didn’t want to marry me. And she didn’t want to be a mother.”
"Then Alison decided to terminate the pregnancy. She wouldn’t even consider having the baby and letting me raise it on my own, even though I begged.”
So I don't agree that she has to take his opinion into account whether to have the baby. Its her body. Yeah it sucks but I personally think him calling her selfish proves her point. Your feelings don't matter as much as that of the person carrying it and realistically say she have the baby. How would that baby feel knowing its unwanted by its mother? Go adopt ffs. Just really pissed me off.

That being said. Onto the two actual main characters. I found her storyline very hard. Struggling with my own fertility at the moment and this just hit me in the feels. I saw another review to say they didn't like Cat but I did because I felt her struggle there.

Romance was good in the end.

Worth the Trouble is the last book I read in this series. Although, I do not remember a fond connection with other books, I like Worth the Trouble very much.
Miss Beck gentle and sweet story telling wins my heart. And Hank... oh he is such a gentle soul.

Miss Beck as always a talented writer. Her opposite attract chemistry is spot on. There are a lot of moral messages on this book. Especially about family and love. Both Hank and Cat is torn apart by their obligation.
I am happy they find their HEA.
