I typically enjoy the enemies to lovers trope and Theo & Lexie were definitely two stubborn people who judged each other hard and they had the potential to be great but I just couldn't feel the chemistry between them. Maybe it was because Theo was unreasonable and Lexi was an immature girl who always ran away from her problems and any kind of commitment. Considering how her father abandoned her, I could get where she was coming from but she just gave me major selfish brat vibes. Her character definitely grew towards the end but by then, I had lost all interest. The pacing of this book was kind of slow and I honestly struggled to read some parts. I was expecting a lot from this book considering the cover and blurb made it seem like it was a perfect pick for me but the execution really fell flat tbh.

Great enemies to lovers trope. While there were sections of the story which dragged, the overall plot is very simple and straightforward. I liked visiting the cities with the characters.

I enjoyed this story. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. Following Lexie and her struggles with losing her dad who she wasn't very close with by the end, gaining a business that she knew nothing about and a sister she wasn't too sure if she wanted to be around all while her co owner hated her and dealing with the cards that had been dealt was a ride. I loved watching love slowly bloom, watching her come to terms and accept everything that's went on and really watching her character grow and learn. I wished there were more Christmas elements within the story but other then that it was a good time.
The first Emily stone book that I have not completed - so sad!!! I have loved every one of her books besides this one! Zero interest and felt zero connection with the main characters
I'm sad that I didn't love this more. I felt no emotional connection to any of the characters or their journeys. The plot felt weak to me and the relationships didn't tug at my heartstrings like they should have. It was a nice holiday read, but not one of my favourites.

When Lexie finds out her father has passed she doesn’t really know how to feel. Since he left her and her mom when she was a child, he has been known to cancel plans, or just not show up when he is expected. She is even more shocked when she finds out she has been left half his company. The other half has been left to Theo, an employee at the company. The two must work together and turn a profit the first year in order to be allowed to sell the business. Too bad Theo seems to hate her…
Oh man did my heart hurt for Lexie. I totally understood her feelings toward her father and why she was infuriated by Theo giving her a hard time about their relationship. Emily Stone has such a way of writing grief, and family issues, I just knew that I would need the tissues at some point while reading this one. I really enjoyed following along as Lexi and Theo began to fall for each other, like we all knew they should from the very beginning. As always Stone left me with all the feelings reading this one.

Lexie learns that she’s inherited half of her estranged dad’s travel company after his death. In the process of learning and taking on her new role she learns more about her dad from people who loved him and about herself. I loved the idea of this travel company and enjoyed Lexie and Theo’s relationship!
This is set around Christmas, but isn’t too focused on the holiday!

Stone always knows how to bring out the emotions and she does it again in this story about Lexie who inherits half of their recent deceased estranged father's business. She must run it with Theo, who adored her father. They are naturally enemies and don't get along and must find a way to get along.
I thought it was interesting in how they grieved differently and the use of the travel agency to help Lexie understand her dad.
I enjoyed Meg Travers' narration with Lexie's POV and would have loved to have Theo's perspective on Lexie's dad.
