I have liked the historical fiction co-written by these authors, and I was looking forward to a contemporary mystery by them. This premise sounded fun, but overall the story was a little all over the place and the characters were too cliche.

I love the premise. I love the setting. I love the sheep and the dog. The leads were largely annoying though.

This is more satirical than my tastes run. Not for me but I can tell the authors had fun writing it and with each other.

I tried y’all. But this feels waaay too long and the characters are insufferable. I never DNF but I can’t handle these characters. In order to remain sane I will be putting this book down.
