A steampunk lady detective living in Victorian London, where dragons don't lurk in the shadows, but instead go to balls and are coveted mates.
An interesting mix of a love story/police procedural! I'm sure there's a genre that really fits this one, but I really enjoyed the storyline.
Don't be mistaken into thinking this book has dragons like Game of Thrones dragons, these dragons are far more desirable, and dare I say it, normal. Complete with complex emotions and curious attributes.
If you like gothic crime novels, with a touch of dragons, strong female protagonists, and if you have an aversion to soppy love stories, then this is the book for you. A strong plot, strong characters, and the perfect level of flirtation. This is a boddice-ripper free zone.
