What a great read. I initially thought that 500 pages was too much for a romance, well I forgot that A.E. Valdez writes long romance books for a reason.

The mental health rep, the sex positive MCs, the amazing friendships and the drama 🫡 I enjoyed it all.

Marisa and Asher are by far my favorite couple of A.E. Valdez so far. Both of them similar aversions to relationship commitment for totally different reasons. I love that all of it was unpacked and resolved at the right time. Asher’s mom’s story is heartbreaking and the decision Marisa had to make at one point of the story, gutting but also felt fairly realistic. The banter between Asher and Risa was always pretty funny, and the bet was funny until it got serious which was so emotional.

A massive, heartfelt thank you to the author for giving me an arc copy in exchange for an honest review. And an even bigger thank you for being kind, patient, and accommodating when I have had an extremely hard season with my PTSD. Elements within this book were triggering and being that I was already having a difficult time it took me way longer than normal to continue reading and finish this book. That being said I had this gut feeling that wouldn’t allow me to DNF it. Please check the trigger warnings and be careful with yourself and your health.

Now buckle your seatbelts because I have things to say:
Are you kidding me?! This was absolutely incredible. A Worthy love had me laughing out loud constantly, had me HOT with certain scenes ;), ‘awww’ing out loud, and processing things like this book was my therapy. I feel the need to pay the author for these therapy services she’s giving out for almost free!! Genuinely though I am so impressed. A lot of times red flags are talked about and even thrown in there for ‘spice’ purposes. But the number of green flags I saw in this book? Beautiful. The supportive/loving female friendships, the unselfish love, the in the depth therapy, the honesty, the realness, and the reality that some people just deserve to have their whole ä$$ beat. This was an intense read but so worth while. The freedom Marisa felt to experience her sexuality was empowering, the way Asher supported her without suffocating her, the hilarity, the heart. I could go on and on about this. And I will. But first, I cannot recommend this book enough, I cannot give it enough stars. The author of this book is worthy, the characters of this book are worthy, this whole book is worthy. And I am blessed to have read it.
