Amazingly beautiful and inspiring women. Each woman's story was fascinating and how they changed society. My favorites were stagecoach Mary Davis, Prima Ballerina Maria Tallchief, playwright Lorraine Hansberry, Sayyida Al-Hurra, Alice Ball, Sarah Breedlove (Madam CJ Walker), Juliette Gordon Low. I love the colorful and beautiful illustrations of each woman. Mackenzi Lee is a great, entertaining author. Lee should write a sequel to this book. Great book for Women's History Month!

I've read Rejected Princesses by Jason Porath, and like this book, it presents us with AMAZING women. They are so awesome and badass, and it's so freaking sad how most of them are barely a footnote in history, the others, they were pretty much forgotten. That is just infuriating!!! But thanks to Jason Porath and Mackenzi Lee, we get to know about these incredible women!

I have to say I have some preference to this one, when you put Stars Wars, Hamilton, and Avatar references, you just win me over (everytime 😉). So thanks, Mackenzi Lee for writing this and writing it the way you did ❤️

This book is SO much FUN! So full of facts about women we should be making every day names, it does NOT read like a textbook, but rather like a fun little narrative between friends. The descriptions are vivid and engaging. The variety of time periods, ethnicities, backgrounds and personalities kept me turning the pages. Buy this non-fiction tome for an incredible summer beach read. You will not be disappointed.

A new favorite book! I recommend reading this one immediately. You will learn about 52 women who have changed the world but are absent from history books and not recognized for their impact. The artwork is beautiful and the writing is witty and playful. Each woman has a couple pages dedicated to her which makes this a quick read.
The casual writing makes this non fiction book very accessible. You will laugh. You will vibrate with anger. You will be inspired.

Loved reading about all of these badass woman history never taught me about. Super excited this book covers such a diverse group of women and I’ve already recommended it to multiple people at work and will be purchasing it for our non-fiction collected.

I don’t read a whole lot of non fiction but I absolutely had to pick this one up. Mackenzi Lee delivers fun and engrossing information about 52 diverse women throughout history who did some incredible things. The language is modern and casual but it still showcases these amazing women in an informative way. The illustrations are also beautiful! Highly recommend!
