Watched the movie probably 20 years ago. So the ‘big reveal’ was no surprise. First time listening to the book. Main themes are still relevant  - consumerism,  boredom, dead-end jobs, alienation and inequality. So did not feel dated - tho obviously today with social media there would be talk about Fight Club…Facebook groups and sub reddits in no time…
Anyhow book it just did not really catch my attention or made me engaged in characters. Re-watched movie and for me this is the best version.
