The book is so-so. It is very uniquely written. It can be whatever you make it to be. According to the afterward by the author, he really didn't intend the book to be that thought provoking. My biggest issue is not with the book itself but with how society has wrongly endorsed the some of the characters as heroic. No character in this book should be idolized. It's an interesting read and I'd recommend it, I just don't know if I liked it very much. This isn't for the easily offended or faint of heart. It is very dark.

The book appealed to the inner-violent part of me. I will not forget how it made me feel and what that says about me.

"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off."

I went into this book blind and somewhere along the lines, Tyler's dogmas got to me. Should I be worried? I think so. Lol. I'd tell you more about this book but...

"The first rule about fight club is you don't talk about fight club. The second rule about fight club is you don't talk about fight club."

This is an anti-capitalist depressive unhinged masterpiece that you need to experience on your own so that you can appreciate the appeal of it. I could not have predicted the turn that it took. I'm in awe.
