Brilliant ambiguously magical story. I cried at several points, and will be recommending it to everyone I know who reads short stories.

The saddest story. It made me grateful that I was born in a time where people are rediscovering their roots and going back to embrace their traditions and be proud of their diversity instead of trying to conform to being American or British or any other Western influence. Because had I been born a couple of years earlier, I would have spent so much of my life without the unlearning and decolonising happening.

The letter at the end was just...heartbreaking . You gotta accept your identity for which you are born with not what people around you are . Strong yet heartbreaking message

This book had no business being this emotional.

NO. BUSINESS. BEING. THIS. EMOTIONAL.

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
