Every time I read one of these books I get whiplash because so much crazy shit goes on like it’s not even real, but I keep coming back for more.

you know shits about to get weird when the main character dies twice in one book

The third book is the best so far. Books 1-3 in this series seem to have been a total set-up/prelude to the real plot which I expect to pick up in the next books. <I thought the diary was going to be the smoking gun for the trauma reveal but it wasn't-which is very refreshing considering it gave the power to Fortuna.>  Favorite characters are Emma, Lyari, and Finn. Ollie remains a mystery and I feel the answer is going to be the twist/smack in the face at the end of book four; which will lead into him having a more main role in book 5 and 6. Bea must really like Fortuna because I don't understand how she is still employed. <Too many villains trying to be the red herring in the 3rd book.> <Gwyn> was a standout character. Collith and Laurie's will they won't they thing is hot. I appreciate Damon's growth and healing. The more I read the more I actually like Fortuna as a character.
