i randomly decided to read this book because the cover is beautiful and i’m glad i did! it was a nice read. i love me a book about a powerful girl group!! i loved many of the characters dearly. i also LOVED the descriptions of all the cities the Wild Ones traveled in. it made me feel like i was on their journey with them. the reason i took off of this book is because of the confusing world building and the story being anticlimactic at points. often times the author simply “told” you things about the world without truly explaining it so it left me CONFUSED. i still don’t fully understand multiple things about the world so it took away some of my enjoyment. regarding the story being anticlimactic, often conflict was solved almost instantly and made it feel somewhat underwhelming. overall, though, even with its flaws I still enjoyed this book! the messages, writing style, pinches of romance, and characters were all great aspects of it. it was a good read!

This book is primarily vibes and while I can respect that, I could not get into the story at all. I can see how it could be an incredible read for the right person in the right mood.
What a great book! It deals with some specific content towards abuse of women and men that may be hard to read for some. But it was done delicately enough that potentially some survivors would be okay with reading the book, if warned in advance.
What I liked best about this book was the traveling to different places through the magical realm, through doors. But secondarily the audio book was recorded in such a fabulous way. And although some of the content dealt with difficult topics, the voice recordings of all the actors was so mesmerizing. I cannot imagine a more wonderfully recorded book. I originally listed this book as 4 star, but keeping in mind the different voices and how interesting it made the book and the volume control I had to give it a 5 out of 5!

now did I fall asleep for a bit? yes. however my feelings for this book holds true. I was never able to truly connect to this book, mostly because of the way in which it was narrated but I think the author did a very interesting thing in the concept and formatting of this book and I appreciate it.
Powerful and smart. I fell so hard for all of the Wild Ones. It's impossible not to root for them. A really clever, well-spun tale.

Just couldn’t crack into the story. I think I might try reading a physical copy, because I feel like a lot of the formatting was lost on me!
