Rio and Hallie finding their ways back to each other melted my heart. The flashbacks are so beautifully wound together through the story that doesn’t leave me frustrated with being taken out of the present timeline.
I was absolutely enthralled with how the usage of tapes and CDs were sprinkled into the story to provide and emphasis on music being a love language between the two characters (and I also appreciate the lack of cringey songs at every turn…!!).
The way the story ended was an amazing testament to the world and couples, and I adore everything about these past three books especially. This author is well worth the read, and I will continue to pick up everything she puts out!!

Rio and Hallie are everything!The flashbacks combined with the present day storyline were woven together so well to show them falling back in love. Rio is the definition of perfect book boyfriend with keeping the boombox to play her mixtapes and CDs, making her lattes, flying out to the hospital to be with Hallie, and recreating their playlist tradition. This book was so heart-warming and I would absolutely recommend reading it!

The history between the two leads is messy, raw, and complicated—and watching them risk it all again despite their past is nothing short of hopeful. They chose each other again and again, and that choice is what makes this book so special.
I didn't know what to expect with the series finale, but this was the exact closure I hoped for—not just for Rio, but for the entire Windy City family. Liz Tomforde honors each character’s journey while crafting a love story that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable (which I feel is her ultimate trademark). It's about healing, growth, and believing that some connections are worth fighting for over and over again!

I’m still in quite the reading slump and this didn’t necessarily pull me out of it, but I love love love this book and this series. Tears were shed, laughs were had, and I can’t describe the chokehold this series has on me.
I didn’t feel as moved as I had in the previous two books, and I think that’s because second chance romances aren’t usually my thing. But I adored Hallie and Rio and I’m so happy he got his happy ending.

I officially finished the windy city series and I would be lying if i said i‘m Not emotional right now.
Rios and Hallies love story is probably my favourite in the whole series. It was an emotional rollercoaster but a great one. The story building and the history between them was so beautifully heart wrenching. I hope i will find my Rio DeLuca and you do too. Because everyone deserves a man that loves you like his life depends on it. Like the first time he breathed clean air was when he looked at you. Like he can’t imagine a life without you. And whose love for you will never end.
And Hallie is such a strong character who has been through so much and is still fighting for what she wants and knows what she deserves. I hope i learn to be half as
tough and kind as her. I just love both hallie and Rio so much.
I don’t think i have to mention how great Liz Tomfords writing was in this book, too. She truly outdid herself and I’m so excited for her next series.
