“Rewind It Back” 💽 🎶 @liztomforde.author has a double platinum hit with her fifth and final Windy City series book! The found-family, friend group is perfect. Rio and Hallie may be my favorite couple, or tied for it at least! From childhood crushes and mixtapes to second chances and one true love with their dream career, forgiveness of each other and themselves for their stupid choices that hurt them both - best book trope mix!

as a high school sweetheart girlie there is no way i could ever give this anything over than 5 stars but i expected nothing less from the most consistent romance series i've ever read. every single book was 5 stars for me and i don't give 5 stars out too lightly... i just loved these characters so much i don't think any sports romance series will ever compare. been reading this since mile high first came out so idk what i'm going to do with myself from now on. loved this so so much 💗

This was a great conclusion to the series! Rio is such a sweetheart, it makes sense to have his story to wrap everything up!

That being said, the tone of this story felt different from the others. Maybe it’s because there were so many questions as to why Hallie and Rio ended things 6 years ago, but it made for a more heartbreaking story.
I loved the flashbacks - getting to see Rio and Hallie grow together and fall in love was such a great addition. And the big emphasis on family made this feel like an immediate cosy safe space.

I’m a mess. I need 3-5 business days to recover. Mostly because of the ending/epilogue, but man I started bawling.

Rio. From the other books, we knew he was a sweetheart. And this book just solidifies his character.

Hallie. What a complex and emotional character. She immediately made me love her.

I’ll have more to say later. But wow. What a way to end the Windy City Series!
