Rio and Hallie finding their ways back to each other melted my heart. The flashbacks are so beautifully wound together through the story that doesn’t leave me frustrated with being taken out of the present timeline.

I was absolutely enthralled with how the usage of tapes and CDs were sprinkled into the story to provide and emphasis on music being a love language between the two characters (and I also appreciate the lack of cringey songs at every turn…!!).

The way the story ended was an amazing testament to the world and couples, and I adore everything about these past three books especially. This author is well worth the read, and I will continue to pick up everything she puts out!!

Couple ranking:
1) Isaiah and Kennedy
2) Rio and Hallie
3) Kai and Miller
4) Ryan and Indy
5) Zanders and Stevie

Rio and Hallie are everything!
The flashbacks combined with the present day storyline were woven together so well to show them falling back in love. Rio is the definition of perfect book boyfriend with keeping the boombox to play her mixtapes and CDs, making her lattes, flying out to the hospital to be with Hallie, and recreating their playlist tradition.
This book was so heart-warming and I would absolutely recommend reading it!

Rewind It Back (Windy City Book 5)
Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐♾

"That thing I’ve been looking for since I moved to Chicago? That connection? That one person some search their entire lives to find? I had already found her when I was twelve years old.”

“Spoken or unspoken, I’ve always loved you.”

✨Hockey Romance
✨Childhood Friends to Lovers
✨First Loves
✨Girl Next Door
✨Found Family
✨It's Always Been You

Well over here crying because this series is over 😭, and this book was the absolute most perfect ending we could have ever asked for. This will forever be one of my favorite second chance romance books.

We have all been anxiously awaiting Rio's book, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I absolutely loved everything about this book. No notes! Rio's and Hallie's story 🤌. Seeing the flashbacks of their first relationship and how adorabley caring, kind, and attentive Rio was.... I mean did we expect anything else? And Hallie. I loved that she forever owned her originality. She was her own person. The way she and Rio came to be friends then more. The mixtapes 🥹😍! Uh! Again... no notes.

Can I just say this was one of the best but most heartbreaking reasons for a second chance romance. When everything came out, I felt so deeply for both Rio and Hallie. I mean my heart physically hurt for both of them. But, I am so glad they found their way back to each other! Their journey to rekindle their relationship, the amends they made, uh... have I said it too many times? Perfection.

Also, can we talk about that ending ❤🥹? Perfection! What a story. What a series. Infinity Stars.

P.S. The audiobook was 🔥. Get it! You won't regret it!

“Yeah, well you’re not his, so tell him to keep his hands to himself too.”
Her eyes drop to my mouth. “I’m not yours either.”
"We’ll see.”

Dare I say this was my favorite book in the entire Windy City series?! Rio is such an amazing MMC with such good depth to his storyline. I was worried because he came off as such a cornball in the other books, but this softer side of him was sooo endearing. I was ready to hate Hallie for breaking his heart, but I ended up really liking her and feeling connected to her storyline as well.

This was an adorable second chance romance and a perfect ending to the series. I'm really not ready to say goodbye to these characters, but I find a teeny bit of solace knowing Monty will have a standalone book in the future. This is hands down my all-time favorite romance series.
