rio mf deluca!!!!! watching him grow from a boy to man throughout not only this series, but this book was one of the most beautiful parts of this world. him and hallie’s story was a kidney x gut x KO punch- absolutely painful. but like in the best way. i love them and how intricate their connection, relationship and HEA was. this has been one of the only second chance romance x dual timeline that i absolutely obsessed over. the microtropes in this one hit all the vibe checks!!!

ps: THE RYAN MOMENT AT THE END HAD ME SOBBING

megan wicks and conner crais duet narration was the best way to round out this perfectly imperfect family. i cannot recommend this series enough!!!

This was my favorite in the series!!!!!! I love a second chance Roman’s and as someone who also ended up with my high school sweetheart, I loved it extra. Fun banter, very well done romance scenes, and great character archs. Loved it!

I just can’t. Stop. Smiling. I love when authors end a series intentionally and wrap in all the other characters whose journeys we’ve seen in the books before.

I really enjoyed how sweet and tender this storyline was— very typical for a love story where the characters knew each other during childhood. I think there were aspects of the storyline that didn’t fully click for me in terms of how long we didn’t get more context about things (aka why they haven’t spoken in 6 years) and then sometimes in terms of when we did get more context (for example Rio’s conversation with his dad just felt a little lacking/not rounded out for me).

I know that Liz has incorporated playlists in her other books, but MAN did it feel especially important and impactful in this one. As someone who absolutely loves music, that touch really tugged at my heart strings.

This was an extremely heartwarming book to read, and even though I don’t think anything will compare to Ryan and Isaiah‘s storylines, I still flew through this one. Thank you so much for this series, Liz Thomforde. You have officially solidified yourself on my auto-buy author list 😊

SOLID 4/5 stars (might even be a 4.25 but, what can I say? I’m picky!)

This series has had me by the throat since the very beginning and Rio and Hallie's story only tightened the chokehold. This friend group, this family, and so much love...every single one of these characters has a piece of my heart and has been ingrained in my memory forever.

Liz Tomforde is a writing genius, a true mastermind of story telling, and I will never, ever get over this series.

I wish I could stay in the Windy City with these characters forever.
