🎶 Second chance
❤️ Childhood friends to enemies to lovers
🎶 Forced proximity
❤️ Slow-ish burn
🎶 Golden retriever MMC
❤️ Girl next door
🎶 First love
❤️ Then and now
🎶 It’s always been you

Rio DeLuca has been one of the funniest, most endearing, and most animated side characters in the Windy City series, and now we get to see behind the curtain. We get to see what makes him, him, and what’s behind the guy we’ve grown to love so much over the past four books.

Rio is the ultimate golden retriever, going the extra mile for anyone he loves. Even though he and Hallie try to resist the pull they have towards each other, there’s no denying that they belong together. They try to hate each other, they try to hold the past against each other, but it’s simply no use. You can feel the love they share; it’s palpable through the words on each page.

Rewind It Back is the perfect conclusion to the Windy City series, and I didn’t want it to end.

83 → 38 ❤️

“When we listen to next year’s playlist, I want this song to be on there so we can rewind it back however many times we want to and remember this.”

“You've had me hooked since the day you became the girl next door.”

Dare I say this was my favorite book in the entire Windy City series?! Rio is such an amazing MMC with such good depth to his storyline. I was worried because he came off as such a cornball in the other books, but this softer side of him was sooo endearing. I was ready to hate Hallie for breaking his heart, but I ended up really liking her and feeling connected to her storyline as well.

This was an adorable second chance romance and a perfect ending to the series. I'm really not ready to say goodbye to these characters, but I find a teeny bit of solace knowing Monty will have a standalone book in the future. This is hands down my all-time favorite romance series.

I’m a mess. I need 3-5 business days to recover. Mostly because of the ending/epilogue, but man I started bawling.

Rio. From the other books, we knew he was a sweetheart. And this book just solidifies his character.

Hallie. What a complex and emotional character. She immediately made me love her.

I’ll have more to say later. But wow. What a way to end the Windy City Series!
