Who doesn't love a man that appreciates and supports a bookish woman! Sirius and Isabel had such a tortured love and they definitely deserved the happiness they achieved. This was just another wonderful part of the Luna sisters series. Loved it so much!!

Ahhhhhh! I love this relationship dynamic so much. Rogues, any rogue with a wallflower will get my heart going, especially one where they go spying together and having a jolly. This series is doing something interesting with a historical romance set in England and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

- I love that 27% in Sirius is jealous because the viscount is interested in Isabel ( I mean it may be because he’s finally noticing how beautiful she is ) and like seeing another man notice it annoys him . I also just adore Isabel so much ( she is a reader like me ) a book girlie aaah. This is such an amazing book

I adore Isabel so fucking much . ( she is a reader like me ) a book girlie aaah. This is a regency romance but unlike bridgerton not all the characters are white & priedged . I love how the fmc is Latina ( Mexican) she has 2 sisters too . I am excited to read ana Marias book too. This book is so amazing. I love the banter between Isabel and Sirius ( at times ) it’s so funny . I love how down bad Sirius is for Isabel - its definitely a he falls first book . He calls her sunshine & darling.
I really love this book because it feels so different to any other book I’ve read . It’s both sad but cute at the same time : the emotion in this book . The fact that Isabel isn’t just some innocent girl brought up to marry a man but she is independent & also has a huge task on her hand ( one our hero Sirius is happy to help her with. These two partners in crime . I mean sure Isabel is as inexperienced as most fmcs in regency romances but like it’s not done in a fetishishing way . I love this book and I love how Sirius doesn’t fetishise the fact that she is a virgin . Instead their first time feels emotional .
I love the political aspect to this book - we need more politics in historical romances . I love historical romance with political aspects / ones that call out / focus on the fact nations like Britain & France are colonizers.
I also love how this book isn’t about convincing Isabel to stay in England and instead in the end ( this is a spoiler ). Sirius goes to Mexico to be with her. This basically made the 3rd act breakup worth it and it made sense. He didn’t want to force her to stay in England because he knew how much she wanted to go back to Mexico and be of use .
The fact that this is set in the 1860s where condoms actually exist was refreshing . Like that was something that was a bit ugh in the bridgerton books - but ik that condoms weren’t technically created until th 1840s so 20 years after the bridgeton books started .
Anyways Sirius’s is aahh he speaks poetry to her when they are in bed together like while he is making love to her starts reciting poetry ( why is that kinda hot) - Isabel loves poetry so it’s like super romantic aaah.
Anyways I love a historical romance man who respects his lover who actually holds her to high regard and sees her as her own person & not his posession - sure they both get jealous in this book but there is no him shouting at her or abusing her in any way shape or form. Sirius is a true gentleman ( even though he is an ex rake) he does seem woman as objects just to fuck . I just love this man .
The fact Isabel and Sirius have stuff In common like both enjoying reading is cool but I also love how sees her as intelligent and isn’t emasculated by it .
this book also a doesn’t end with Isabel getting married or having kids and is what I would say the opposite to a traditional historical romance and I absolutely loved that.
I 100% reccommend this book I absolutely loved it.
