“There's no one thing that's true. It's all true.”

I have read three books by the author, and I like all of them. Hemingway’s characters are always interesting. Even though not all of them are good, I end up liking them anyway. They are really something else.

I really enjoyed this story. I liked how it starts and ends in the same way, sort of. I have not read a lot of books about war, but I always believe it when I read Hemingway’s books. Probably because he went to war and knew what it was like. And I read he did a lot of research as well to write this book.

It was a sad story as well. War stories always are anyway, but maybe because this takes place in just four days was sadder for me. There were a lot of what ifs, which added to the overall feeling of sadness. I highly recommend it.

“For what are we born if not to aid one another?”
