The sequel didn’t quite grip me the way the first one did, but it was still a good read. Again, a little lost with the philosophy references, maybe that’s why I wasn’t as into this one. I thought the twists were interesting and I’m excited to see where the third book takes us.

Oh.
My.
Gods.

Utterly insane. Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers did a p h e n o m e n a l job!! I loved this even more than the first book. Wow. I was absolutely confused, turned around in so many directions, and truly, truly have become obsessed with Kallum Locke

*UPDATE after listening to the audiobook, and ahhhh! There couldn't have been a better choice once again, Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers once again bring Halen & Kallum to life!
I'm glad I listened to it since I was in need of a re-read anyways, any phew. My review below still stands, and now I'm not so patiently waiting for the 3rd and final book in Hollow's Row!!

Trisha!! What are you doing to me here?! Kallum is soooo dark and interesting, and Halen, oof, what can I even say...

This is the 2nd in what is now a trilogy of the Hollow's Row series and holy HELL is it twisty and dark. I love how she writes and weaves the deep, dark vibes of the MCs in all of the books, but phew, this one! Wow! I'll be re-reading ASAP to pick up on anything I might have missed!

For someone who keeps getting called intelligent and extremely smart, the FMC is extremely dumb and oblivious. She’s acting like a boy-crazed high schooler because the bad boy gave her attention. The amount of times I rolled my eyes because she kept making bad decisions was endless. The twists were pretty obvious except at the end with the killing. I may finish the series just to be finished, but this was not as good as I had hoped.
