This was the right book at the right time. Funny and honest in equal measure. Loved the fact that the authors only used the Scottish accent for his Shop worker - made me laugh audibly. And it makes me want to go there and spend all my money on second hand books. Whether I read them or not.

It was interesting at First but became very repetative fast. Its still funny and interesting especially for book Sellers or people who want to work in that field.

Took me a while to get into the book, but I have to say it does offer an interesting perspective on the world of bookselling. Not just selling books, but the day to day activity.

The stories are interesting as well, and just the interaction between the book seller and the customers. Would be nice to have more pictures as well.

Definitely a good read.

If you have ever had the pleasure of working in book selling you know it has perks and frustrations. This book expertly dives into both. If you have never worked as a bookseller, simply read it to understand why we tend to be either deliriously happy or absolutely cranky. There is no in between.

A day by day account of the running of Scotland's second largest second hand bookstore. The diary format works really well, and made this a quick and easy read. And I really hope I’m never one of those customers - fortunately, they add humour when they ask an obvious question - and joy when they find a real treasure. (I especially liked the man who found his father's Latin book from school.)

Loved the diary of everyday life of a secondhand bookseller! I never thought I could get so excited over someone finding all their online book orders.
