I really struggled to get into this one.  There were a few moments that just didn’t seem like they fit well with the genre and some of the paranormal stuff just wasn’t that interesting to me.

I was really enjoying this as a mystery book, but then the twist about 3/4 of the way through was so unnecessary that it ruined the entire book for me.

I almost stopped reading until halfway through the book where the first twist comes in that completely changes the tone of the book - in a good way. I thought it was just going to be a redo of Rear Window or the plot device where “woman sees crime, no one believes her” which is overly done in mystery books but this was a great twist on it!

Honestly this one wasn't as good as his other works. The story felt a bit boring and kinda predictable. I am not quite a fan of paranormal/ghosts/hauntings etc. because it feels like a cop out in this case, but I see that he tried and I did at least want to know what happened. I didn't hate the characters, it just felt sort of bland and repetitive.
