Thank you to MacMillan Audio for allowing me to listen to and review this 50th Anniversary Edition ARC.

I didn't get a chance to read this book as a child, although I feel like this book is coming to me at a very good time in adulthood. I enjoy books that may not necessarily have a happy ending because they teach us about grief and why we want something to end "happily ever after". The themes of this book are still extremely applicable even though it was first published in 1975, and those themes can be digested by anyone of any age.

I didn't like this book as a kid, thought I'd give it a chance as an adult. Still not a fan. It's fine, but none of the Tucks endeared themselves to me the way it seems that they've endeared themselves to the rest of the world.

A quick, simple read with a fresh and bittersweet take on immortality. Loved the detailed descriptions of nature that really painted the story into such a beautiful vision.

I went into this book blind- only knowing that I wanted to read it so I could watch the movie with Jonathon Jackson and Alexis Blidel.

I’m completely surprised with how much I loved this story. I was nervous that I would have a hard time with it since it’s categorized as a middle school book, so I thought that I would find it childish or annoying but that is the opposite of what I thought while reading.

I kept getting the feelings of eeriness and comfort which were such an odd coupling of feelings. The epilogue was beautiful and melancholic 🐸 🤎
