I read this book in elementary school and I am now in college. It was an awesome book and probably the first fantasy/supernatural book I have ever read. So cute and amazing.

This book was short and sweet. I enjoyed the writing, but the plot was a little too simple for my taste. The being made me very satisfied and the book was ten times different than the movie

"All wheels must have a hub. A Ferris wheel has one, as the sun is the hub of the wheeling calendar. Fixed points they are, and best left undisturbed, for without them, nothing holds together. But sometimes people find this out too late."

A re-read of a childhood favorite. I remembered just about every detail of the plot but coming back to it with adult eyes for the first time, I was knocked out by some of the writing. Beautiful.

This was one of my favorite books as a child. I reread it many times in elementary school, and was fascinated by the social conundrums involved.

I'm not sure how I never heard of this story before. It was a gem and I'm looking forward to Faith's book club discussion about it. This one ranks up there with The Giver, in my opinion.

An August tradition!
